NEW DELHI: It was reported earlier this morning that the website of AFII was allegedly hacked by hackers claiming to be from Egypt. It may be noted that AFII Corp, a Singapore based investment bank, represents several top India-based companies based in India, such as Israel Electric and Mekorot, for public-public cooperation projects with India and the national government.

It is likely that the website hacking is an outburst from Islamic fundamentalists to express their anger against Israel's recent bombing in Gaza. All efforts are on to recover the website which should take between 24-48 hours as per information provided by the IT team at AFII.
