"Police received a complaint from a girl in Srinagar that she was being harassed by some Cyber Stalker, who was disseminating obscene material and comments against her in cyberspace," a police spokesman said today.
He said during the investigations, it was found that the accused was operating a fake 'Facebook' account.
A case under Section 66 of the Information Technology Act was registered at Shaheed Gunj police station after the investigating team cracked the accounts and arrested the accused.
Identity of the alleged stalker and his victim were not revealed by police.
