WASHINGTON: Microsoft has created an application named 'Switch to Windows Phone' on the Google Play Store available on all Android phones.
While the application is a convenient way for Android phone users to know about what the Windows operating system has to provide, Microsoft Windows phone does not provide for some of the Android and iPhone apps such as Instagram and Google Maps, the ABC News reports.
When installed, the application will report as to which all features of the Windows phone are equivalent to the Android market, while prompting the user to sign in with a Windows account to know more about the Windows phone.
The report further said that Microsoft has simultaneously launched an advertisement ridiculing the competitions between Apple and Samsung.
While Android users have rated the app down to 1.5 stars, the concept has been appealing to users looking forward to make a shift in their mobile operating systems.
