While details about the upcoming Lumia 625 are sparse, the report claims that this phone will have display resolution of 800x480p. This translates into pixel density of 199ppi, as compared to 332ppi of Lumia 920. These two phones will share the dual-core Snapdragon processor, with maximum clock speed of 1.5GHz.
The report says that Lumia 625 will be unveiled at an event in London on May 14. However, in case Nokia does not unveil it at the event, then it will be launched in June or July.
Nokia has also unveiled a low-end device called Asha 501, which is priced at $99 (before taxes). This new touchscreen phone is targeted at the segment dominated by low-cost Android smartphones. It runs on the revamped Asha platform and features Fastlane, which shows the 50 apps used last. Featuring just one hardware key under the touchscreen, its display wakes up when double tapped.
The manufacturer has said it will be available in 90 countries from June and will offer free Facebook access on Airtel and MTNL networks.
