Tata Communications corporate strategy head quits

Written By Unknown on Senin, 15 Juli 2013 | 21.43

The corporate strategy head at Tata Communications, Srinivasa Addepalli, is stepping down from his full-time role after 14 years with the Tata Group.

Addepalli will leave the world's largest wholesale voice carrier by the end of this month. However, he will continue his association with the company in a consulting role.

The 38-year-old IIM-A alumnus has played a key role in several global acquisitions of Tata Communications, including that of US-based Tyco Global and Teleglobe. These acquisitions changed the profile of the company (earlier known as VSNL), which now earns significant revenues from overseas.

Addepalli started his career with the Tata Strategic Management Group, working on telecom and technology strategy assignments. He moved to the office of the then chairman of Tata Industries, Ratan Tata, and later to Tata Communications. (Contributed by Reeba Zachariah)
