Apple launched its series of latest smartphones with Touch ID fingerprint sensor for increased security. However, Yellowjacket has gone a tad too far with the 140 dollars case, shooting a 'powerful sting' with the battery-powered stun gun.
According to ABC News, the case has been available for iPhone4 and 4S and will be made available for the latest 5S and low-cost 5C in coming weeks.
YellowJacket's co-founder and president Seth Froom said that the case is necessary to provide real protection against iPhone thefts.
However, some of the law enforcement officials do not agree with the technology as James Pasco, executive director of the Steve Young Law Enforcement Legislative Advocacy Center, said that stun guns are no more regulated than hairdryers.
Pasco has concerns that such a technology could make robbery worse and said that plenty of offensive weapons in the wrong hands can exacerbate an already serious situation and also because stun guns are not legal in some states and cities in the country.
YellowJacket VP of Marketing Caroline Barry said that the company absolutely doesn't advise that people use this if the thief has a gun but admitted that it provides peace of mind for many when it comes to safety, the report added.
