Sony Xperia Z1 Mini picture, specs leaked

NEW DELHI: Launching 'Mini' editions of smartphones seems to be the new in thing among smartphone makers. After Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini and HTC One Mini, now come rumours that Sony too is set to launch a 'mini' version of its Xperia Z1 smartphone.

Alleged photos of Z1 Mini, also dubbed as Honami Mini have appeared online. The pictures first appeared on Xperia blog, courtesy a purported brochure from Japanese carrier NTT Docommo.

On specs front, Sony Xperia Z1 Mini is claimed to sport 2.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 chipset (same as in Xperia Z1), a 4.3-inch 720p display, 16GB internal storage, 2GB RAM and a 2,300 mAh battery.

The Z1 Mini is expected to share Xperia Z1's 20.7MP rear camera and a 2.2MP front camera. The device is also likely to be water-proof and dust-resistant just like the other devices in Xperia Z series.

The Xperia Z1 mini will run on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean come in four colors black, white, pink and yellow.
