Micromax, MTS launch Canvas Blaze at Rs 10,999

NEW DELHI: Micromax and MTS have joined hands to launch a budget smartphone, named Canvas Blaze. The handset is powered by a Snapdragon processor and comes with 2GB of free mobile data, free MTS-to-MTS talk time of 1,000 minutes and 120 minutes of free local and STD calls on other networks for six months. The model supports dual-sim functionality and has been priced at Rs 10,999.

The new Canvas Blaze has a 5-inch screen and runs on a dual-core 1GHz processor. Powered by Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) operating system, this smartphone comes with 768MB RAM, microSD card support up to 32GB and 1,850mAh battery. It sports an 8MP camera on the back and a VGA camera in front. Connectivity options in the phone include 2G, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.0 and microUSB.

Vikas Jain, co-founder, Micromax, said, "Our new offering on 3G EVDO + GSM dual-sim smartphone based on a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor will help GSM consumers take advantage of the superior 3G EVDO network of MTS while retaining their GSM number. The Canvas Blaze further builds on our promise to empower consumers with superior technology and enhanced services."
