Micromax MAd A94 smartphone launched for Rs 8,490

NEW DELHI: Indian handset maker Micromax has expanded its budget smartphone range with the addition of MAd A94. The smartphone is priced at Rs 8,490 and will be available across all leading retail outlets in India starting today.

Mad94 is the company's first device to sport its MAd app which rewards consumers for watching advertisements on their smartphones. Consumers can watch ads via the MAd app and earn points for every ad viewed, which can be converted into real money and credited into their postpaid/prepaid phone accounts. The service will work for all opted-in subscribers across all telecom operators.

Micromax MAd A94 smartphone sports a 4.5-inch full touch screen with a resolution of 480X854p.

It sports a 5MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera with auto-focus. The smartphone is powered by a 1.2GHz quad core Broadcom processor along with 512MB RAM, and features an 1800mAh battery. The phone supports 3G, Bluetooth 4.0 and WiFi connectivity. It comes with 4GB internal storage expandable up to 32GB via microSD card.

The phone runs Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean. Other than the MAd application, the phone packs the M!Live portal offering games, videos, wallpapers and music, BBM and Hike for Instant Messaging, Spuul to watch free movies, Kingsoft Office and Opera Mini browser.
