WASHINGTON: Motorola has cut down the prices of its Moto X smartphone by $100 for a fully-customized sans-contract 16GB model.

Moto X would have originally cost $499, but customers can now buy it for $399.

However, the recently rolled out bamboo back Moto X would still require a premium of $100 above the original cost, TechCrunch reports.

The report said that with this price cut and the introduction of the wallet-friendly Moto G back in late November; Motorola is positioning itself as a player that can deliver new remarkably solid smartphone experiences at prices that can seem outlandishly low compared to most competitors.
