Lava Iris 406Q smartphone launched at Rs 7,499

NEW DELHI: Indian handset firm, Lava has launched Iris 406Q, a new entry-level Android smartphone, at a price of Rs 7,499. The phone will be available for purchase starting next week.

The Iris 406Q sports a 4-inch WVGA (480x800p) display. Powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor, Adreno 302 graphics and 1GB RAM, the phone comes with 4GB internal storage expandable up to 32GB via microSD card. It runs Android 4.3 Jelly Bean, upgradeable to Android 4.4 KitKat.

The phone sports a 5MP rear camera with LED flash and a VGA front-facing camera. In terms of connectivity, the dual-sim(3G+GSM) handset supports Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS.

Lava Iris 406Q comes with a 1,700mAh battery and will be available in Black and White colour variants. At its current price, it is one of the cheapest quad-core processor equipped handsets, available in the Indian market.
