LONDON: Now chat with your girlfriend and the world won't come to know. Billed as "Twitter without usernames", the anonymous messaging app called 'Secret' was made available to users Android users worldwide.

The app lets users share short text and image posts to friends completely anonymously, its developers announced.

"We are getting so much demand that we do not see the point in holding it back," its co-founder Chrys Bader was quoted as saying.

The app was launched in Britain in April, alongside Ireland and Australasia.

"Now, everyone in the world has an app for this and I am really excited to see how Secret thrives in all these different cultures," Bader added.

In this app, users' friends are pulled automatically from their address book, but posts and comments are not linked message-to-message.

The app is coming to Android for the first time, complete with new features exclusively for the Google-owned operating system.

According to Bader, the app would be available on iOS phones soon.
