Lumia photography lead at Nokia, Ari Partinen, who was part of the team responsible for Nokia's imaging focused smartphones such as the Lumia 1020, has moved to Apple. He revealed the move through a tweet saying, "Today will be my last day working for the amazing #Lumia family. In June I will start a new chapter in Cupertino, California. Much love!"
He also clarified in another tweet that he was indeed joining Apple.
Nokia's imaging technology has received wide acclaim and Nokia 1020 is considered to be the best smartphone when it comes to imaging as it includes pro-level features. The cameras on Apple's iPhones are also considered to be one of the best when it comes to consistency and image quality but we don't see the company taking bold steps like Nokia. Perhaps, that's about to change as Apple gears up for its next iPhones.
