The phone, which is slated to launch later this month, is being teased by the company as part of a pre-launch campaign. While the phone's form factor and exact specifications are still under wraps, Panasonic has revealed that the P81 will be powered by an octa-core processor.
Similar to the company's last few smartphone models, we expect the P81 to be powered by a MediaTek chip, competing with the likes of Micromax Canvas Knight, Gionee Elife E7 mini, Intex Aqua Octa, and Karbonn Titanium Octane/ Octane Plus.
Panasonic had earlier teased the phone's 'smart app switcher.' It had also hinted at interchangeable covers with a teaser that featured the message 'A new colour everyday; play more dress up your phone.'
The company had launched its last flagship phone, P51, in May 2013 at Rs 26,900. It had reentered the Indian market after collaborating with Jaina Marketing as the Strategic Partner for Marketing, Distribution and Customer Suport' for the smartphone series.
