Flipkart had stopped selling the original Moto G following the launch of the second-generation model of the phone, last month.
The phone was originally launched in February 2014 at Rs 12,499 for the 8GB variant and Rs 13,999 for the 16GB model. Motorola had given the phone a Rs 2,000 price cut in late-July to clear stocks before the arrival of the phone's successor.
Moto G sports a 4.5-inch screen with a 720p resolution. It is powered by a middle-of-line Snapdragon 400 quad-core processor running at 1.2GHz. The device comes with 8GB and 16GB storage options and has 1GB RAM. The primary camera can shoot images in 5MP, while the secondary camera is 1.3MP.
The new Motorola smartphone runs Android 4.4 (KitKat), and will also receive the Android 5.0 Lollipop update. The phone does not feature any software customizations.
Moto G is credited for bringing a major change in the country's smartphone market. The smartphone offered a quality display, snappy performance, day-long battery life and the latest version of Android at a budget price.
