According to a report by The Next Web, some users have reported seeing a "Sell Something" button just next to the "Write Post" button while posting to a group.
After clicking on the button, a form appears with the fields for adding information related to the name of the item, price and description, along with an option to attach a picture and pickup and delivery instructions.
The post appears as a classified listing with all the details though Facebook doesn't facilitate the transaction or add ways to make payments.
Confirming the move to the online publication, Facebook acknowledged that it was testing a new feature within Facebook Groups to help people better organize posts about items they'd like to sell to other people on Facebook. The social networking giant has also put a link to a help page where it explains that it's not responsible for the purchases.
"We are testing a new feature within Facebook Groups to help people better organize posts about items they'd like to sell to other people on Facebook. This is a small test limited to select Facebook Groups that have active selling communities today," it said.
