Chief executive Vishal Sikka has upped efforts to engage with employees and boost their morale ever since he took over the role of the top boss at Infosys.
From his crowd sourcing idea "Murmuration", which was a call to all Infosys employees to be involved in the strategy-building process of the company, to promoting around 5,000 people to retain key talent, Sikka's focus on employees at the key resource of the company has been evident.
He also reached out to former employees, asking them to be "an ambassador of Infosys", and even spoke about the importance of hiring them back at a town hall in October. As part of his strategy to boost employee morale, Sikka is also gifting 3,000 top performers across geographies and job roles Apple's latest iPhone 6, ET reported.
Experts have commended his efforts to engage with employees as the IT major has grappled with the highest attrition rate in the industry, which crossed 20% in the July-September quarter.
In the period ended December, attrition inched marginally up to 20.4%. 20.4%. Rao has however said he expects attrition at the company to come down to 13-15% by the end of June 2015.
