Delhi Police is working towards launching the app on Apple store and making it available to non-smartphone users as well.
More than 30,000 women have downloaded the app which let's women send SOS signals to alert Delhi Police control room.
However, only 2 genuine SOS has been generated till now. A woman complained of domestic violence in Delhi and a teenaged girl from Karnal raised SOS.
8 SOS messages from foreign countries.
Delhi Police acted swiftly in both cases. The teenaged girl was complaining about harassment in the hands of a local youth. Delhi Police contacted SP Karnal and asked to take action.
Women can click a pic of the taxi/auto they're boarding and send it to this group so that the cops have a record and she feels secure.
