The messaging application - WhatsApp - has turned into a platform for people of all ages to chat and share messages on precautions. Even jokes about the disease are already doing the rounds. People are urging each other to maintain hygiene around their homes and prompt others to do so. Messages about anti-flu shots and using a mask to avoid coming in contact with the virus too are doing the round.
Amongst the most circulated message was easy availability of medicine in Homeopathy for swine flu. The messages read that homeopathy had a sure-shot treatment for this viral disease. The other message that circulated the most was about keeping Camphor and Cardamom together tied in a small piece of cloth to stop the virus from attacking the human body. Such messages were a common sight on facebook pages too. These messages received several likes and were shared hundreds of times.
Such messages have left such an impact on people in the city that many locals kept camphor and cardamom tied in their handkerchiefs. This had also become talk of the town. Those who had taken this step had asked their peers to follow the same. People moving around with their face covered too is a common sight.
