The software maker said that the fixes include 11 bulletins, five of which are marked critical, solving 24 vulnerabilities for Windows, Office, Internet Explorer, and Exchange.
According to TechCrunch, the Surface updates are the most significant and have been issued for updates to Surface Home Button Driver for optimizing available system memory and audio device driver update for enhancing trackpad sounds for Type Cover 2.
The fixes for Surface 2 running Windows RT 8.1 include those related to screen dimming during CPU intensive operating, resolving decreased charge time for batteries, two-finger trackpad use along with improved Skype video quality.
Meanwhile, Surface Pro running Windows 8.1 has been improved on its Wi-Fi driver and Surface Pro 2 running Windows 8.1 has been updated for improved system stability, Wi-Fi driver, Surface Cover interaction and enhanced audio experience among others.
